The Straw Hats star in a tokusatsu-style story. After most of the team comically defects to the villains (led by Nami and Robin), Zoro is left as the only hero. He quickly gives up and defects as well, forming the Straw Hat Pirates. The chapter ends with Law being told his help wasn’t needed.
Inside the whale’s stomach, the crew meets Crocus, the lighthouse keeper, who reveals the whale, Laboon, has been waiting 50 years for its pirate crew to return. Two strangers try to kill the whale, but Luffy and Crocus stop them.
After being punched by Luffy, Wapol is stopped from entering the castle by Dr. Kureha and Chopper. They refuse to let him take down Dr. Hiriluk’s flag. Sanji is injured by Chess and Kuromarimo, and Wapol eats Chopper. Luckily, Luffy, now wearing Nami’s jacket, returns and, with Sanji’s help, launches himself at Wapol, forcing him…
