As Luffy sinks to the bottom of the pool, Zoro and Sanji begin their fights against Hatchan and Kuroobi. Zoro’s old wounds cause him to collapse, and a distracted Sanji is also knocked out. Meanwhile, Genzo and Nojiko dive in to save Luffy. Zoro and Sanji, however, quickly get back up, defiant and ready to continue the fight. Zoro borrows swords from Johnny and Yosaku as Sanji re-engages Kuroobi.
A misunderstanding causes a fight between Luffy and Zoro. Believing Zoro attacked friendly villagers, Luffy furiously clashes with him. Zoro tries to explain that the villagers are actually Baroque Works agents. Their fight is so intense that they accidentally defeat the enemy agents Mr. 5 and Miss Valentine.
Luffy enters the collapsing crypt to confront Crocodile. Crocodile, enraged that Luffy is still alive, is shocked when Luffy manages to hit him by using the blood on his hands as a liquid medium. Nami stops Aisa from entering Upper Yard, just as a giant python appears. Unbeknownst to them, Luffy is trapped inside the snake, causing it to act wildly, nearly swallowing Zoro. Elsewhere, Wyper and Gan Fall confront Ohm at the base of the Giant Jack. Zoro crash-lands, leading to a tense, multi-sided confrontation.
During the timeskip, Zoro asks Mihawk to train him. Mihawk repeatedly gives him pointless tasks, like painting and swimming, but Zoro believes he is secretly training him. After an argument and a fight with the Gyro Pirates, Mihawk finally agrees to start his proper training, only to tell him to wax the windows.
