Usopp sees a mysterious figure repairing the Going Merry at night. The next morning, Enel, the God of Skypiea, summons his priests and, bored with their weakness, cancels all rules, allowing them to do as they please in Upper Yard. The Straw Hats, finding their ship mysteriously fixed, split into two teams to search for the “City of Gold” and make their escape as wealthy pirates.
Zoro learns that Dracule Mihawk, the man he’s been searching for, is the one who destroyed Don Krieg’s fleet. While the crew is distracted, Krieg’s galleon is sliced in half by a mysterious man. Johnny and Yosaku reveal that Nami has stolen the Going Merry and fled with all their treasure.
The Straw Hats begin their journey on the Grand Line, struggling with the unpredictable weather. They eventually arrive at Whisky Peak, where they are surprisingly welcomed with a party by the island’s residents.
