As Sanji heads to find his crew, the Baroque Works agents attack an enraged Luffy. Mr. 3 dons his wax armor, but Usopp reveals that fire can melt the wax and save their friends. Luffy uses Mr. 3’s own flame to light an oil-soaked rope, which is wrapped around the candelabra, in an attempt to free his trapped crew.
Zoro single-handedly fights off 100 Baroque Works bounty hunters, easily overwhelming them with his swordsmanship. He defeats several opponents, including the super-strong Miss Monday, leading the leader, Mr. 8, to mistakenly believe that Zoro is the Straw Hats’ true captain.
In a duel against the world’s greatest swordsman, Dracule Mihawk, Zoro is easily outmatched. After being stabbed, Zoro refuses to back down, earning Mihawk’s respect. Mihawk then uses his full power to shatter Zoro’s swords, and Zoro accepts his defeat with honor.
