On the streets of Alubarna, Roronoa Zoro faces off against Mr. 1, a man with a body as hard as steel. Zoro’s attacks, including his powerful Oni Giri and Tora Gari, prove ineffective. Mr. 1 mocks Zoro, stating that no swordsman has ever been able to scratch him. Zoro, bleeding under rubble after a series of attacks, remembers a lesson from his mentor: a true sword cuts only what the swordsman wants it to cut. Realizing what he must do, Zoro lifts a massive section of the building, vowing to Mr. 1 that he will learn to cut through steel, and when he does, it will be Mr. 1’s end.
