When the Straw Hats arrive at the Baratie, Luffy accidentally damages the restaurant. He is forced to work there for a year to pay off his debt. Inside, sous chef Sanji quickly defeats a Marine named Fullbody who tries to insult him.

Zoro easily defeats the Baroque Works agents, Mr. 8, Mr. 9, and Miss Wednesday. He dodges their attacks and quickly overpowers Mr. 9 and Miss Wednesday, who try to use the sleeping Luffy as a hostage. Zoro uses their own tricks against them, defeating the agents and ending the fight.
The Straw Hats get a special compass called a Log Pose to navigate the Grand Line, as a regular compass doesn’t work. After Luffy accidentally breaks their first one, Crocus gives them another. They then agree to take two strangers, Mr. 9 and Miss Wednesday, to Whisky Peak, and set off on their journey.
