Luffy goads a berserk Arlong out of the water and counters his attacks. Arlong grabs a giant sword, Kiribachi, and chases Luffy into Nami’s map room. Inside, Arlong boasts about Nami’s happiness in creating maps for him. However, Luffy, enraged by seeing a bloodied pen on her desk, shatters Arlong’s sword with his bare hand.

While trying to escape Impel Down, Usopp is forced to team up with Doflamingo. They manage to defeat their pursuers, but their partnership ends when Doflamingo learns a crucial detail about a chocolate bar Usopp gave him. A series of deceptions orchestrated by Bentham allows Usopp and Franky to finally escape the prison.

Luffy learns that Laboon’s pirate crew abandoned him. In a rage, he challenges the whale to a fight. After a brief scuffle, Luffy promises to return and finish their fight once he has sailed the entire Grand Line, giving Laboon a new reason to live.
