Usopp learns from Nojiko that Nami joined the Arlong Pirates to save her hometown, which pays a monthly tribute to Arlong for survival. At Arlong Park, Zoro is captured and is shocked to see Nami, who pretends to have been aligned with the pirates all along. After Nami saves Zoro from drowning, she tells him to escape. Arlong, after being informed of Usopp’s escape, goes to Cocoyasi Village to threaten the villagers for the upcoming tribute. As Arlong returns to his park, Nami rushes Zoro to escape.
